Neither have a light so it's just the fan control.
Do All Ceiling Fans Work With Wall Switch. I have a three gang wall plate with switches. I can have installed the fan/light (a hampton bay veranda) without the remote/receiver and it works fine, but i've lost my ability to control the fan speed since there are no longer pull down chains.

Not only will you void the. If it was me, i would probably stick a battery operated switch for the light on the wall next to the fan switch. A single 52 fan works best in a space that's between 100 ft.sup2/sup and 400 ft.sup2/sup.
