What Size Trowel For 12X12 Mosaic Wall Tile. I am redoing a bathroom and we have chosen a 12 x 12 mosaic floor tile, the tile is porcelain that is 3/8 thick with about a 1/8 grout line. Thin sets are cheaper but harder to use if your new at tile, if these are full 12x12 tile you use a 1/4x3/8 trowel.

Using a trowel, apply enough adhesive to cover up to one square metre. If this layout leaves cuts smaller than 1/2 tile, adjust center line 1/2 tile closer to the side wall. I would recommend a mastic/wall glue.
